Bantugon Alay Kapwa Foundation Inc. (BAKFI) takes into consideration the most fundamental aspects of a society – health, education, environment, livelihood – all for the benefit of its primary component, the people.

The foundation extends assistance to the needy with the collaborated effort and selfless acts of the affluent ones. BAKFI’s founder, Miguel Leonilo “Nilo” M. Bantugon grew up watching his politician father extends help to the people. Not wanting to enter politics, he delved on growing his own enterprising business.

Sixteen years ago, he went to Italy and lead the Filipino community there. When Nilo went back to the Philippines, he started doing small projects to bring together the less fortunate ones. One of the projects he intended to prioritize is the reviving of a river in Bauan through his coordination with the barangay captains.

In September 2010, Bantugon Alay Kapwa Foundation Inc. was officially registered as a legitimate foundation.

MISSION

It is the goal of the foundation to be able to provide efficient access and effective mechanism which can facilitate development and progress of the less fortunate and encourage the participation of other privileged individuals and groups in its endeavors.

VISION

A vibrant organization that is able to multiply the effects of individual contributions to alleviate poverty through structured programs and unified efforts.

AG&P Company of Manila Foundation, Inc. (AG&PFI), a corporation duly-organized and existing in accordance with Philippine Laws (SEC Registration No. CN 20088807511), was formed to engage in the conduct of vocational skills education, development, and enhancement through programs and events for manpower. It was established in order to meet the company’s manpower requirement both in the yard and in overseas projects and to address its ever growing social responsibility.

The foundation has been tapping sponsors to establish scholarship funds to deserving indigents and out-of-school youth for technical skills training under the foundation’s Technical School. Intensive and special training in welding (SMAW 3G,4G,6G/FCAW/GTAW), pipefitting/structural fitting, scaffolding, and millwright.

AG&PFI facilities are situated inside the 60-hectare lot of AG&P Heavy Fabrication Yard in San Roque, Bauan, Batangas and inside AG&P Bolo Dormitory Compound. It is within the heavy industrialized area of Bauan, Batangas.

AG&PFI Technical Schools are equipped with TESDA-accredited training manuals, workshops for metal trade, modern welding booths, pipe simulation/assembly workshop, computer room, lecture rooms with audio visual equipment and complete line of tools and sample materials for the students’ daily tasks. All these are geared towards the objective of providing a steep learning curve for the trainees.

Apart from the technical skills training program, AG&PFI has been venturing into community service programs in fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility. Its special projects include tree planting and tree growing, organic vegetable farming, medical and dental mission, park and playground development, coastal/riverbank clean up, gift giving, classroom repairs, book donations, and blood letting.
